How this community began

A person read the material. Then a channel, a standing Saturday, a first session with a recording attached. The site came eight months later, and it is the only part of this you can link to. That order is the argument, and every date in it is checkable.

A person read the material. That is the first fact, and it goes first because everything else is downstream of it. Then links, then a channel with its own rules, then a standing hour, then a session held and recorded and written down, and only after all of that somewhere for a person who was not in the room to read it. That order is the argument, and every date in it is checkable.

The order, which is the argument

The earliest messages in this community’s own record are a link to the published audiobook, a link to somebody’s study notes, and a pinned notice listing other Law of One communities that already existed and could be joined instead. Whoever posted those was not announcing a community. They were handing on what they had found and pointing a reader at the neighbours.

Then a channel, and quickly a structure for it: a topics guide, a written covenant about how members speak to one another, and a place where session recordings went so a missed session could be heard again. Then an appointment, a recurring Saturday booked as a calendar entry with a hundred and ten future occurrences and a link to join, announced by a member whose name I will not reproduce. Then the seventh of June, the first numbered reading session, recorded, with a summary attached. It worked on the first session of the material, and the next week it moved to the second.

The order this community took, and two descriptions it refuses

Six steps down one spine, in the order they happened. A person reads the material, on 23 May 2025. Links and study notes are posted. By 25 May a channel exists with a topics guide, a written covenant, and a place to put session recordings. On 31 May a recurring Saturday evening is booked as a calendar entry. On 7 June the first numbered reading session is held, with a recording attached. A website comes last, in January 2026, eight months on, and the dashed section of the spine is that gap. The first step is filled, because it is the one everything else is added to. Below the spine, struck through on their own rows, the two descriptions refused: that a community began as a website, which reverses the order and puts the site's arrival first, and that a channel could not carry this, which is false on the record since the channel held the announcement, the membership and the archive of recordings at once for sixteen months.

The material’s own record agrees with the order without being asked. The transcripts open on a group rather than a document: the first exchange in the archive is not a question, and the group it addresses is spoken of as something already there. That is a reading of the archive’s shape, not a claim about intent. The order holds regardless, because it is in the dates.

Which is where the temptation sits. If a website is what a person finds first, it is easy for the website to become the origin. This one was not.

The call begins with one. This call is equal to infinity and is not, as you would say, counted. It is the cornerstone. The second call is added. The third call empowers or doubles the second, and so forth, each additional caller doubling or granting power to all the preceding call. Thus, the call of many of your peoples is many, many-powered and overwhelmingly heard to the infinite reaches of the One Creation.

The first caller is not counted, and is not diminished by everyone who came after. That is our reading: a later arrival does not become the origin by being what a stranger touches first, and a page adds to a call rather than starting one.

There is a limit on that, and it is the source’s own rather than mine.

Only up to a very short point. After this point, the many-ness of distortions are equal one to another. The first distortion, free will, finds focus. This is the second distortion known to you as Logos, the Creative Principle or Love. This intelligent energy thus creates a distortion known as Light. From these three distortions come many, many hierarchies of distortions, each having its own paradoxes to be synthesized, no one being more important than another.

Ra, session 15.21 · read it at the source

Only up to a very short point. Past that, nothing is more important than anything else. The order matters at the start and stops mattering quickly, and any reading that makes this website the centre of the community overshoots a limit the material states itself.

What it was before there was anywhere to point

The part that does not survive into a website, stated exactly rather than nostalgically. A session was announced in a message, and the link to join lived in it. A recording went into a channel whose stated purpose was that a missed session could be listened to and revised. There was no page to miss, no link to send a friend, no address.

A different thing from a page, worth naming rather than mourning. The channel held the announcement, the membership and the archive of recordings at once, for sixteen months before there was a site to put any of it on. Its record is 762 messages, 174 of them in May 2025, still the busiest month this community has had.

One thing it did not do. Across those 762 messages there is no written consent convention. Not the word consent, not permission, not privacy, not anonymous: none of them appears, not once. What the record does contain is the covenant about how people speak to each other with its ladder of consequences, and session summaries that ran with the announcements from the first numbered session onward.

That is a measurement, and it has a denominator and a limit. Absence from this record is not proof that no convention existed: a convention held between two moderators leaves no trace in seven hundred and sixty-two messages. What the count establishes is that nothing was written down. The same gap is recorded from the other direction in the facilitator persona for this site, which names the consent conventions for publishing session content as living in group memory: a rule everybody follows and nobody can point to.

Why a site at all, said fairly

Nobody should be told the old way was inadequate. It was not. A channel books a recurring meeting for a hundred and ten weeks without asking anybody’s permission, and does it better than any site I could build. For one question, answered quickly, the channel is still faster, and this community has not routed around it.

What the channel could not do was survive its own members. A question asked in a message gets answered in a message, and the answer is then gone, and four months later somebody new asks it again. That is the whole case for a site. It is not a better community. It is a memory.

And the material, read honestly, puts a website near the bottom of its own list.

It is impossible to help another being directly. It is only possible to make catalyst available in whatever form, the most important being the radiation of realization of oneness with the Creator from the self, less important being information such as we share with you.

Ra, session 17.2 · read it at the source

Information is the less important catalyst, three to five people is ample, and there is to be no concern for numbers or quick growth. That is a limit on what any site is for, and it comes from the source rather than from modesty. Read the other way, it is the only one of the three a community can hold: the radiation of realisation is not a thing a group administers, and the three to five arrives on its own. So a site should be built at the size of the lesser catalyst, and at the speed of no quick growth. This one is.

What changed, and what did not

The section most easily written as a success story.

What changed is small and real. A decision became pointable. The consent conventions were in group memory; there is now a page, it is numbered, and it says in its own words that it is the only copy on the site. A covenant that lived in a pinned message is now a document a facilitator can send in one action.

The new risk is the mirror of that. A page reads as a constitution. Ours says it is the only copy on the site, which is true of the site and reads as a statement about the community: as though a room had settled a thing and filed it. It had not, and it does again, and the argument that a boundary is held rather than owned is made properly in the boundary of this space. A page, in my own reading, is a snapshot of a decision a room is still re-making, and a snapshot is not a room. A published convention can be pointed at, and pointing is not the same as being agreed.

And one thing the site structurally cannot do is carry a date. There is no schedule on this site. Sessions run, and they are announced in the channel, and a facilitator pins the time where she has always pinned it. That is not a bug. A page is durable and a channel is neither, and the price of durability is that a page cannot hold a live thing. The schedule stayed where it was because the schedule is alive.

What did not change is the room. The essay on what a session is like is the authority on that. One observation is mine, about where a community sits.

The understanding, experiencing, accepting, and merging of self with self and with other-self, and finally with the Creator, is the path to the heart of self.

Ra, session 15.14 · read it at the source

Self with self, then with other-self, and finally with the Creator. A group is a stage in that sequence and not a terminus, and the reading is ours: a community that publishes itself, or turns into a website, has not thereby become the place where the work ends. It is the part of the path where the mirrors are.

What is not resolved

Three things, left open on purpose.

The site began as something else. The first time a website is mentioned anywhere in this community’s record, it is not a community website at all. It is an interactive three-dimensional framework, announced with a promise to share the link when the navigational engine was ready, and the argument for it was that static text can only convey so much. So the surface this community now publishes in was built to render a framework and then inherited the job of being the front door. Whether that inheritance is right I cannot settle, and the evidence cuts both ways. A page built to render a framework takes care over what it shows; a page built for a community would have been built for the room, and I am not sure the room was consulted.

Discovery changed sides and nobody watched it happen. For sixteen months the channel was how a person found this community, and the record shows it doing that work: a pinned notice pointing outward, an announcements topic, a bot being written to post sessions and quotes by hand. A page is indexed and a channel is not. So a seeker arriving by search now meets a body of writing in one voice; a seeker arriving by the channel met a room where an hour was set apart and nobody was called on. Both arrivals are legitimate, not the same thing, and nobody chose between them because nobody was asked.

The permanence question. A site promises a thing that keeps. The practice has not always kept: there were stretches when attendance was low enough that the reading sessions stopped, announced with the reason attached. So the decision not to print a schedule is, on this reading, not an omission. It is the one place where the limits of the site and the limits of the practice are the same limit. I hold that as a judgment, and I would like it argued with.
